Not just a walk on the beach
This morning I was rudely interrupted by my husband's pointless cell phone alarm. It annoys me that he does this every weekend because he claims he sets it so that he can wake up early. Which he never does, so needless to say I get woken up early and he falls back to sleep. This time I decided to be annoying and every time he fell back asleep I woke up him over and over again until he got out of the damn bed.
During the interim of me being really annoyed a word from God began to flood my mind. At first, I thought I was day dreaming, but it seemed very biblical so I wanted to share it with you.I visualized "Lauren" (a factitious person) walking on the beach close to where the water begins to meet the sand. - Which is actually one of my favorite places to be. As she was waking the sand turned to mud. At first the mud was only deep enough to cover her toes, but then it became thicker and covered her ankles. As she continued walking the mud became less and less, but she had stains of mud around her ankles symbolizing what she had just walked through (a lot of anxiety related emotions were present during this experience). Eventually, she reached a clearing of clean sand and the calming water began to hit her toes again. It was a beautiful section of the beach, no one was around and the sun was pleasantly reflecting off of the water.
She stopped and looked as the waves splashed in the ocean and she was thankful that the mud was gone from her ankles. As she turned and looked back to where she had come from she decided that she didn't want to go back that way through the mud. So she looked forward. As she looked forward up the coast she saw a lot of rocks along the coast of the beach. The rocks were dark black colors and appeared sharp. She was too frightened to go forward, because she feared her feet would get cut up. But as she looked past the rocks she noticed that there was another clearing. It looked like a boardwalk with a lot of fun places on it. The problem was that the only way to get there was to pass over these rocks. Lauren decided that she didn't want to through the rocks and she'd rather stay in the safe clearing she was in for a while.
Then God spoke to me. He told me that I was this person. I had gone through the mud and I should be proud that I survived it. However, right now in my life I was in the "safe clearing" and I was afraid to move forward because I didn't want my feet to get cut by rocks. He also told me that the trip over the rocks would be painful and that I would get cut, but the end result would be worth it. He also said that after I got cut, I would grow new thicker, stronger skin. In fact, the journey would be very short. He acknowledged that He knew I was afraid to go through the rocks because I feared the pain.
Ultimately, it was my decision to decide what I wanted to do. My response to Him was thank you for acknowledging my feelings and letting me know that you're paying attention to my life. But I am in fact afraid to cross through the rocks. I think I'll stay in the "safe clearing" a little more because I can only deal with a certain amount of pain at one time. I just got over a lot of pain and I need to protect myself from having to deal with those emotions for a little while. His response. I leave it up to you. I have showed you what you need to do and I'll be waiting for you when you're ready.

Let God's will be done
Matthew 5:13-16 (NIV)
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."
How beautiful that sounds. Salt draws out the flavor and Light allows you to see it. We are to draw out God's goodness out of people and let His light make their life more brighter.
I recently had a co-worker say to me. You know what I just love reading your emails. No matter how bad the situation seems you always seem to make a joke out of it. I should have told her my God makes me happy so I don't let little things bother me, but I didn't. It's the truth so next time I will.
My supervisor recently said to me that she's had enough with the staff. She is going to pray for strength because she doesn't know any other way to deal with them. I told her don't pray for strength, because you will get tested on it. Pray for God to help those people fix their issues and stop making tedious mistakes.
I once had a friend tell me that his co-workers described him as bubbly and this was the first time anyone ever described him like that so he was very surprised.
As believers in God, the Father, Jesus, the son, and the Holy Spirit, we have been made the salt and the light of the earth.
It is our responsibility to walk around happy go lucky at work even if the office grump doesn't like it too bad for them. Go pray for them.
You never know when ministering one scripture to someone in the office will change their life. I recently had that happen to me. A young woman at my job was very upset about a conversation she had with her supervisor. She wanted to unload the story to me, which was ironic because we never spoke like this before. I ended up giving her the scripture that I had in my bag, love your enemies. Needless to say, God met her right where she needed Him.
I use to see ministry as a burden, similar to the way Jesus asked the Lord
" if possible the hour might pass from him. "Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
Lord I pray that your will be done in any one's lives who is reading this, in Jesus Name, Amen.

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

The Season of the Holy Spirit
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
I am a firm believer that spiritual warfare has never been going on stronger than it is today. People's faith is constantly being challenged by financial and emotional stressors that are heightened by watching the media.
However, God tells us that all things are possible through prayer.
But most people don't even pray on a regular basis. I challenge you to ask the next person who you speak to "how do you connect with God". I can almost guarantee that their face will turn red and they will become defensive.
Why? Because people are afraid to talk about God. Well you know what God still talks to people.
This is an awesome time to begin to minister to others about the power and love of God.
The devil's (yes there are demonic forces operating that we cannot see) purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy. But we will overcome the devil by resisting lies and negative thinking patterns.
Begin to repeat to yourself:
"Life is Great, It's never been better, It's only going to get better." I guarantee you that you will begin to see positive results in your life because positive thinking gives God permission to line your life up with your words.
Negative words and negative thinking gives the devil permission to line your life up with negative events.
STAY AWAY FROM STINKING THINKING AND TOXIC FRIENDS.

Free Spirit
Many of us identify ourselves as free spirits. There is only one true way to have a "free spirit". It comes by receiving Jesus Christ in your heart.
When you are ready say outloud:
Father in Heaven, I am ready to admit I want to have a free spirit. Jesus Christ come live inside of my heart and save me. By faith I believe that I am saved, In Jesus Name.
