"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
How beautiful that sounds. Salt draws out the flavor and Light allows you to see it. We are to draw out God's goodness out of people and let His light make their life more brighter.
I recently had a co-worker say to me. You know what I just love reading your emails. No matter how bad the situation seems you always seem to make a joke out of it. I should have told her my God makes me happy so I don't let little things bother me, but I didn't. It's the truth so next time I will.
My supervisor recently said to me that she's had enough with the staff. She is going to pray for strength because she doesn't know any other way to deal with them. I told her don't pray for strength, because you will get tested on it. Pray for God to help those people fix their issues and stop making tedious mistakes.
I once had a friend tell me that his co-workers described him as bubbly and this was the first time anyone ever described him like that so he was very surprised.
As believers in God, the Father, Jesus, the son, and the Holy Spirit, we have been made the salt and the light of the earth.
It is our responsibility to walk around happy go lucky at work even if the office grump doesn't like it too bad for them. Go pray for them.
You never know when ministering one scripture to someone in the office will change their life. I recently had that happen to me. A young woman at my job was very upset about a conversation she had with her supervisor. She wanted to unload the story to me, which was ironic because we never spoke like this before. I ended up giving her the scripture that I had in my bag, love your enemies. Needless to say, God met her right where she needed Him.
I use to see ministry as a burden, similar to the way Jesus asked the Lord
" if possible the hour might pass from him. "Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
Lord I pray that your will be done in any one's lives who is reading this, in Jesus Name, Amen.
