Pressure

Pressure
Let's use the analogy of boiling water. When you boil water or anything for that matter in a covered pot, the steam and the pressure that builds up inside of that pot starts to bubble up which in turn results in the lid trying to pop up. When the flame is high and the pressure peaks some of the water will eventually leak out.

At that point you have two choices,

1- Turn down the flame.
2- Turn off the flame.

If you don't turn the flame down the water will continue to boil out of the pot and eventually extinguish the flame on it's own so that it can bring itself back to the level of stability (room temperature) it was at before you started heating it.

The same thing happens when you pressure people. The process can literally throw someone into a state of turmoil if you try to bash them over the head with the word of God. Eventually they will run away because their flesh gets nervous when their spirit tries to bring them to a higher level of understanding life. People have a hard time believing in what they cannot see.

The process of change is quick for some people and slow for others. There are a lot of ups and downs during the process.

Unfortunately, helping professionals get frustrated when trying to teach someone to change, but they just have to be patient Proverbs 14:29 and wait and know that only God can truly make that person change.

God loves us so much.

I once heard someone say that for everything you want to do there is always going to be someone who tells you, you can't do it.

To this I say so what!

I urge people to develop a relationship with God through his son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is an awesome genealogical family line and once you are connected to this family you can look up to your father in heaven to help you accomplish your life goals and help you overcome all of your fears/problems.

But this is a choice that only you can make.

If we go back to thinking about that pot of water.

Water consistently becomes the temperature of it's surroundings. The bible says that we should not be be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14.

This is so true. Since our bodies are made up of 80% water, we also have the ability to change with our environment. Surrounding yourself with warm people will make you warm. Surrounding yourself with cold people will make you cold. Surrounding yourself with adulterers will make you become an adulterer and surrounding yourself around believers will make you become a believer.

As for me I'm sticking with the believers.

Bible Foods - I'll never give up on trying to teach this

What's an example of something that's not food that we eat?
Well according to God, pork, shellfish, lobster, crab, all the scavenger foods. But also artificial sweeteners, margarine, the hydrogenated oils. I don't think white sugar is a food. The Bible talks about pork and shellfish, but obviously not aspertame or hydrogenated oils. But to me that's in the same category. They're not food, they're chemicals.

For you are a holy people [set apart] to the Lord your God; and the Lord has chosen you to be a peculiar people to Himself, above all the nations on the earth.

Imagine this

Imagine a world where people walked beside each other and never spoke.

Imagine a world where people worked beside each other and never talked.

Imagine a world where children walked around with wires in their ears and were totally oblivious to anything that was going on around them.

Imagine a world where all of the nutrients that go into our body were created in factories.

Imagine a world where sea life came out of the water to find food.

Imagine a world where every time you saw a wave you worried that it was going to flood your house.

Imagine a world where husbands and wives only spoke to each other to develop a business plan.

Imagine a world where children only played with their mothers one hour per day.

Imagine working 18 out of 24 hours in a day.

This world exists now. All these things are going on in America right now as we speak.

People need to take the time to form a relationship with God and let Him fulfill all of their needs according to His glorious riches. (Philippians 4:19)

This is one of the most difficult spiritual strongholds to try and overcome these days. The bible helps us to under why.

1 John 2:18 (NIV)
[ Warning Against Antichrists ] Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.

1 John 2:22 (NIV)
Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:7 (NIV)
Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Parents this spirtual stronghold has been attacking many children since the 1960s. It exists in every aspect of the average child's life.

  • The books/magazines that they read

Anything that disagrees or denies that Jesus is Lord and denies that there is a God in Heaven is operating under a spirit of antichrist.

It is your responsibility to monitor everything your children do. You are not their friend, you are their parents. The spirit of antichrist leads to early death.

For those who do not have children, examine your own life. Start to keep track of how many things you are involved with that oppose God's will. Then start to make changes by lining your life up with the words in the bible.

Bitterness, addictions, unable to miss a television show, rituals, unbiblical routines.

Example of Bondage in the bible:

Titus 3:3
At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.

But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?

Spiritual Stronghold 10- Pride

Characteristics:

Gossip, stubbornness, contentions, wars, wrath, arrogance, control, self-righteousness.

In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.

12So that handkerchiefs or towels or aprons which had touched his skin were carried away and put upon the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.
Instructions from the bible:
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
No where in the bible does it say that Jesus is going to come back to earth and heal the sick. God sent us Jesus to bear our sickness and disease. Jesus left us the Holy Spirit so that we can continue the His work. You have all authority over sickness and disease. Exercise it by praying for yourself, friends, family, and those you don't know. People will thank you when the miracle happens from your prayer. God's word and love is eternal.

Proverbs 6:32
But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself.

Proverbs 6:25
Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes, for the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the adulteress preys upon your very life.

Jesus Informed us that:
Matthew 5:28

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Paul tells us

1 Corinthians 6:9

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders.

Life by the Galatians 5:16

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

If you or someone you know is dealing with a perverse spirit, speak to God in the name of Jesus to help you or that person change their ways. God loves you and that person more than you can ever understand and He has demonstrated it by creating us to have power to speak to and change our situations. There are angels ready to fight the battle for you. I pray right now that anyone dealing with a perverse spirit be set free in the name of Jesus and by faith I know that the Holy Spirit will help them gain a new understanding of a better way of life.

Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.

He inquired of the LORD, but the LORD did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets. Saul then said to his attendants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, so I may go and inquire of her." "There is one in Endor," they said.

According to the bible the Holy Spirit has given us authority over these spirits:

This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved." She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment the spirit left her.

Wow how many of us are guilty of inviting this spirit into our lives?

and if feelings of jealousy come over her husband and he suspects his wife and she is impure—or if he is jealous and suspects her even though she is not impure-

Proverbs 27:3-5 (New International Version)
3 Stone is heavy and sand a burden, but provocation by a fool is heavier than both.
4 Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?
5 Better is open rebuke than hidden love.

Ezekiel 8:3
He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and in visions of God he took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance to the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood.

Are you struggling to survive? Tap into your spirit

What's the big rush?

Survival is a basic instinct that we are born with. The easiest way to develop an understanding about what survival is, is to observe animals in the wild or in your home if you have multiple pets. It's amazing how the bigger animals will always overpower the smaller animals during feeding time.

Another example can be found in families with multiple children. They each try to constantly out do each other to receive the blessing of their parents.

The reality of it is that we are in constant fear that we need to always be better than someone else or else we are not doing our best.

People have also become money hungry.

Our current society encourages us to love money. Companies keep changing their products by upgrading them and exciting technological advances keep us running back to the stores to buy the newest upgrade.

When you become born again (John 3:3), it's easy to spot how fast the world is changing for the worst.

  • People are extremely selfish these days.


  • People are very rude.


  • People are always in a hurry.


  • People are struggling to survive.


  • People have developed cynical attitudes.


  • People are extremely greedy and never feel they have enough.


  • People lie, steal, and cheat to get ahead.

But who are they trying to please? What's the point of always rushing?


One answer is that spiritual forces beyond our physical understanding are constantly influencing us to do negative things that do not line up with the word of God.

How do you feel about your Pastor?

How do most people feel when they leave church or listen to a Pastor speak:

Emotions:
Happy (emotion) – From seeing old friends, liked today’s musical selections, relaxed because you took a break from daily activities, somebody (including the Pastor) delivered good news to you.

Sad (emotion)
The sermon really made you give second thought about your ways.
Upset with yourself because you realize that you are not leading the life Jesus expects for you.
Disappointed because you realized you commit sins daily.
Condemned because the Pastor reminded the congregation how they were not living the way God expected them to be living.
You compare yourself to other people in the church who you consider “holy” and get disappointed because you are not like they are.

Emotions are temporary feelings. Emotions fluctuate throughout your day.

Empower
Verb (action) Empower someone means that you are encouraging them to take action.
Give them the practical way to obtain results.

Message to Church Pastors

Please Stop condemning your church members!

I have been attending church services at different churches throughout NYC. The difference between the warm loving church congregation versus the cold judgemental congregation has been the message the Pastor preaches each week.

For example: I recently heard a Pastor describe the church as a "clubhouse". Well who's the one who approves church activities? I thought it was the Pastor. So that means the Pastor must like clubhouse activities. But yet, Jesus tell us not to turn his sanctuary into a den for robbers and thieves. Hmm?

And what about the Pastors who constantly remind their church members how they are doing the wrong things. "If I knew I would come to church and get beat up every week, I'd stay home. -Creflo Dollar.

Remember when we become born again "Our sins have been forgiven". The Pastor's responsibility should be to take care of the Saints (sheep).

My real message is this please stop condemning your congregation. They are there to feel the love of God and learn how to apply it in their life. If you are teaching the love of God, but not teaching them how to apply it in their daily lives, then you are wasting your breath. Once they walk out the door they now feel like bad people, who are sinners. Again, when the Son sets you free you are free indeed.

Find a Friend during rough times

There is nothing harder then going through a tough time by yourself. Trust is something that has become abused in our society so it's hard to confide your personal information in others.

Praising when you can't see it

Everything that you see is temporary. Your height, your weight, your job, whatever. However
2 Corinthians 4:18 tells us that what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Most of us go to work everyday and get paid periodically throughout the month. We trust our employer to pay us when they say they will because there are laws to protect the employee. So again we trust that we will get paid on time each month.

It's the same thing with God, he has promised to never leave us or forsake us. He has also promised Psalm 34:10....those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

Just like we have to work to receive a paycheck. Those who trust God are also rewarded by all of the innumerable blessings he gives us.

One of the hardest things to do is say thank you before you receive something, because you don't know what it is going to be like.

However the bible instructs us in Hebrews 11:6 without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

I recently started praising Jesus before things happen and my prayers are now getting answered faster then they were before. I challenge you to try it.

Try it now:

Father in Heaven, I pray that you ______. I know that by faith you will get it done. God you have already blessed me with _____ and ____ so I thank you so much for being a such a giving and merciful God. In Jesus Name I pray.

Now close your eyes and say thank you Jesus 10 times.

Flatter God

Who would think that God wants to be flattered? Why would a being that is Perfect and knows all things need to be flattered, but He wants to be at the center of your life. He wants to be involved in everything you do.

Therefore, it is important to acknowledge His presence. Something as simple as saying "Hey God thanks for getting me through that one" or "Wow I don't know what I'm about to get into but Jesus I need you to help me out right now".

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.

Since God's word is alive and powerful, use it to your advantage.

But once you use it Remember to thank God. Think about how you would feel if you always give out something to someone and they never say thank you. God will always help you through His Holy Spirit, but as thank Him continually to show your gratitude for what He has done for you.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Praise Him before you eat
The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will praise him— may your hearts live forever!

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.

The meaning of Righteous

Righteousness:
The Hebrew word for righteousness is tseh'-dek, Gesenius's Strong's Concordance:6664—righteous, integrity, equity, justice, straightness. The root of tseh'-dek is tsaw-dak', Gesenius's Strong:6663—upright, just, straight, innocent, true, sincere. It is best understood as the product of upright, moral action in accordance with some form of divine plan.

The New Testament continues the Hebrew Bible's tradition of the ethical (1 Thessalonians 2:10) and legal (1 Corinthians 4:4) aspects of righteousness, but adds the element that Jesus embodies righteousness, (Acts 3:14). According to the New Testament, Jesus came to the world to address the needs, not of "the righteous", but of "sinners," (Mark 2:17). Righteousness, like the Kingdom of Heaven, is God's gift through grace, (Matthew 5:6, Matthew 6:33).

Prayer Alert: Our Prayers go out to Virginia Tech College

Yes there is still a God!

No one ever expects to drop their child off by car at college and then later pick their body up at the morgue. However, that is exactly what the parents of 32 students are going through right now.

Our prayers go out to the families. Seek comfort knowing that God is still in control.

2 Corinthians 5:8 (NIV)
We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.

Your children have passed on to be with the Lord. Burying a child is the most difficult thing a parent can do and no one else understands your pain but God. Lean on Him for support.

Ways to deal with grief:

1- Cry out Jesus, ask why me and pay attention to how the Holy Spirit will reveal answers to you through other people or situations.
2- Seek a Christ Centered Parent Grief Group.
3-Reach out to your Church Pastor or start going back to church.
4- Meditate on God's scriptures, especially Psalms. God Will deliver you from your grief, if you let him.
5- Focus on another activity. A major part of the healing process is to get back into your old routine and starting new ones.


Father, we pray that you help these families deal with their tremendous grief by leaning on you for support and casting all their cares on you. We thank you that you a mighty and merciful God and through the Holy Spirit you will help them get through this. In Jesus Name, Amen

Angel of the Lord

Did you ever watch the news and wonder why several people will die the same way on the same day? According to the Bible these are all acts of the Angels of the Lord.
The bible cites Hagar, a slave of Moses as the first person an angel of the Lord appeared to.
Genesis 16:7
The angel of the LORD found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur.

To prevent Heart Disease or if you are suffering from Heart Disaese

Ephesians 3:16-18
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.
Here are nine nutrition strategies to reduce your risk:

1. Eat more fish. Fish is a good source of protein and other nutrients. It also contains
omega-3 fatty acids, which may help reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
2. Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes. These beautiful and delicious wonders of nature may be one of the most powerful strategies in fighting heart disease.
3. Choose fat calories wisely. Keep these goals in mind:
4. Limit total fat grams.
5. Eat a bare minimum of saturated fats and trans fats (for example, fats found in butter, margarine, salad dressing, fried foods, snack foods, sweets, and desserts).
6. When you use added fat, use fats high in monounsaturated fats (for example, fats found in olive and peanut oil).
7. Eat a variety -- and just the right amount -- of protein foods. Commonly eaten protein foods (meat, dairy products) are among the main culprits in increasing heart disease risk. Reduce this nutritional risk factor by balancing animal, fish, and vegetable sources of protein.
8. Limit cholesterol consumption. Dietary cholesterol can raise blood cholesterol levels, especially in high-risk people. Limiting dietary cholesterol has an added bonus: You'll also cut out saturated fat, as cholesterol and saturated fat are usually found in the same foods. Get energy by eating complex carbohydrates (whole-wheat pasta, sweet potatoes, whole-grain breads) and limit simple carbohydrates (regular soft drinks, sugar, sweets). If you have high cholesterol, these simple carbohydrates exacerbate the condition and may increase your risk for heart disease.
9. Feed your body regularly. Skipping meals often leads to overeating. Eating five to six mini-meals is the best way to control blood sugars, burn fat calories more efficiently, and regulate cholesterol levels.

Other Heart-Healthy Strategies
  • Reduce salt intake. This will help you control your blood pressure.
  • Exercise. The human body was meant to be active. Exercise strengthens the heart muscle, improves blood flow, reduces high blood pressure, raises HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol), and helps control blood sugars and body weight.
  • Hydrate. Water is vital to life. Be sure to stay adequately hydrated.
  • Enjoy every bite. Your motto should be dietary enhancement, not deprivation. When you enjoy what you eat, you feel more positive about life, which helps you feel better. An added bonus is that you eat less when you eat food you love, and that helps control weight and reduce cholesterol levels.

Prayer
Lord God Almighty in Heaven, I pray that you help me understand how to guard my heart. I understand that my spiritual heart is constantly under attack by evil forces that are beyond my understanding. I also understand that my physical heart is also under attack and that many people around me are suffering from heart disease. I pray that you strengthen my spiritual and physical heart by protecting me from the evils of this world. I pray that those who are sick with heart disease receive a manifestation of the healing upon their life from the Jehovah
Ra pha, The Lord our Healer. And Lord, if I am or will be suffering from Heart Disease I take authority over it right now and I cancel satan's plan for sickness in my life. It's by faith that I believe that I receive all of my requests. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Free Spirit

Many of us identify ourselves as free spirits. There is only one true way to have a "free spirit". It comes by receiving Jesus Christ in your heart.
